The seating area brims with warmth, echoing a small-town diner vibe that whispers, “the food’s going to be great, and you’re going to leave happy.”

Diving into the menu, brace yourself for a journey through culinary nostalgia. The breakfast offerings could win anyone over with classics like fluffy buttermilk pancakes drizzled with warm syrup or hearty omelets packed with farm-fresh ingredients. However, dining at Pop Pop’s means attempting the “Riverside Special” – a plate stacked high with house-made sausage, perfectly scrambled eggs, and a pile of crispy hash browns. Just thinking about it could have one’s stomach rumbling in anticipation.

Lunch doesn't disappoint either; it surprises instead. A twist on the timeless grilled cheese introduces brie and green apple to the mix, adding a gourmet touch that feels just right. Equally tempting is their “Renovo Stack,” a mountainous burger topped with caramelized onions and smoky cheddar that beckons anyone daring enough to try and tame its grandeur. Each bite reveals layers of flavor that showcase the chef's dedication to quality and taste.

Pop Pop's isn’t just about the food, though the dishes definitely anchor the experience. Its central location on Huron Ave makes it an ideal drop-in spot for both a quick bite during a road trip and a leisurely brunch for Renovo residents. The laid-back, welcoming energy of the place is a testament to the owners' passion for creating a second home for diners, a place where food nourishes the soul as much as it satisfies the appetite.

Patrons frequently laud the friendly service that complements the wholesome meals, a reminder of what a meal out should truly feel like – personal and gratifying. It seems Pop Pop’s Place has carved out a little piece of culinary paradise, balancing nostalgia and innovation in a manner that feels as effortless as it is profound.

A hole in the wall that is worth a stop! Basic down home food with no frills (ment in the best was possible)! Have not had a bad meal yet. Pizza is good and rumor is they will be doing Stromboli soon.

1st time there today, while we explored areas on the ATV Regional Trail, in our SxS. The prices were very reasonable, food excellent (turkey/bacon sub) and the ladies were super friendly. YUM!

I give it five stars on the service and the food but they didn't have air conditioning but they did have two really big fans that's why I gave them a three star on the atmosphere
